Information for Australian Employers Booking Workers on Air Vanuatu Service
This document provides a guide for Employers and Agents in Australia who wish to book workers onto flights out of Vanuatu to Australia or from Australia back to Vanuatu.
Flight Schedule
Under the current State of Emergency and border closure for Vanuatu, Air Vanuatu is permitted to operate freighter services only. Approval has been granted to allow for the carriage of passengers in and out of Vanuatu on these freighter services.
Air Vanuatu currently operates a fortnightly cargo/repatriation services between Port Vila and Brisbane.

Exemptions, Visa, Approvals and Entry Permits for Entering Australia
It is the responsibility of the Employer or Agent appointed to manage the travel arrangements of the workers to ensure that ALL relevant documentation, approvals, and/or permits have been issued.
Each worker must also complete the following:
1. Australian Travel Declaration
It is a requirement that each traveller must complete the online Travel Declaration Form.
2. Queensland International Arrivals Registration
All workers travel into Queensland or transiting via Brisbane must complete a Queensland Arrivals Registration.

3. G2G Pass
For workers travelling to Western Australia or Tasmania, a G2G Pass will need to be applied for prior to entry into each State.

We recommend that all workers travelling to Australia have printed copies of all their completed deceleration, entry permits or employee letters with them.
Booking Workers to Return to Vanuatu
Employers wanting to book workers on flights back to Vanuatu, will need to register their workers through the Pacific Labour Facility Team in Brisbane, who are managing the list of names for those wishing to return to Vanuatu.

Check In for Flight
Check-in for flights open 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the flight.
Use of PPE Gear
Workers travelling out of Vanuatu are not required to wear any PPE during their flight, however it is a requirement that a mask be worn on arrival into Australia.
For workers travelling out of Australia into Vanuatu, each worker should follow the requirement of the state or territory they are travelling out from. On arrival in Vanuatu, each worker should ensure that they have their mask on until they arrive at their Quarantine facility.
